How You Can Help Save The Web There is one very simple thing you can do to help repair the flagging web and find many more great sites in the process..... Use LINKS as well as search engines! Remember we told you that most web sites have a links section but have it hidden away? Well, here is how you will find them. If you do not see a "links" button in the main navigation of the site you are visiting then that web site is NOT thinking of you. They are not giving you choices as you leave and they are damaging the web. You can counter act this by looking at the bottom of their pages when you are ready to leave. You may see a tiny text link that looks like this Links This is an attempt to hide the links from you. Look for that and visit some of their link partners. The ironic thing is, most of those sites have gone to a lot of trouble to organize their links so you should find the links easy to navigate once you get to them. If at the bottom of their page you cannot see Links, then look for Resources, Partners or Directory These are just some of the other words these sites use to hide their links from web users. We are not saying stop using search engines, they are a very useful resource, we are saying use BOTH methods to find sites. By doing just this one thing you will REALLY HELP keep the web alive and give yourself access to millions of great sites that are not at the top of the search engine pages. Sites That Already Make Things Easy For You If you want to surf some great sites that do not hide their links then click the Search The Web button on the menu to your left. These are sites of our members that clearly show their links when you have finished at their site. Our Directory is a mini search engine in itself and grows daily. Why not book mark it and come and use it every now and again while you are surfing. Also, when travelling the web look for the logo below on the home page of sites you visit. If you see it you will know immediately that there are some great links for you to visit as you leave. Want To Help Us Convince Webmasters To Make This Easier For You? We are not only revealing hidden link sections to web users like yourself, we are trying to convince website owners to make them easier to find like they used to be. Why? Because it benefits everyone. It gives you more choice as you leave and means you find great sites that are not at the top of search engine pages. The websites that are not at the top also get more visitors which benefits them. Website owners are currently listening to some very bad but popular advice, and focusing all their time on trying to get to the top of search engines, instead of focusing on working with each other, and you the web user.
